new stuff, bald bunnies, and gear shifters.

i have added some new stuff to the sidebar. they will be updated periodically. some as often as i post and others not so often. the picture is to illustrate something in the post and will most likely be changed as new posts come out. the quote is just random: sometimes funny and sometimes thought provoking. the tunes are for some entertainment while you read and comment. a new section apart from the sidebar was added. an announcement section will now reside above the posts. (which will hopefully contain all of this boring info in it from now on.)

i did something today that i hadn't done before. i visited the pet store with some friends for the sole reason of petting the animals. naturally, my favorite were the bunnies. they are such a calm, quiet, and soft creature. their very touch is relaxing. after the busy rush of last semester, it was good to take a moment, pet a bunny, and just reflect on life.

this reflection was quickly interrupted with one of the funnier thoughts that i have had recently. how hilarious a bald bunny would look. can you picture it? if nothing else, it should bring a smile to your face. as for me, i bust up laughing when i imagine it. life would be a drag if it weren't for comical inspiration.

speaking of comical inspiration . . .

i have this friend. i will not name her, but she had a inadvertent inspiration of comedic genius. it really wasn't as much an inspiration as it was a brain fart. a long story short, she came out of church sunday to find that her truck wouldn't start. discouraged she found a ride home while pondering the possible problems with her vehicle. the diagnosis: the gear shifter. the cure: shift it entirely into park. when leaving the automobile, she didn't quite shift it all the way into park. apparently it was enough in park to let her have the key, but not enough to let her turn it again. it was probably the cheapest repair possibility of them all. just another example of how a sad story can turn into comic relief.
